Draft Procedure-Each division will have a separate
draft.
- All players are in the draft and will be drafted.
- 12, 10, 8, or 6 year old players, whose parent
manages a team, will be drafted in the third round of the draft. Third round
also applies to May, June or July birthday players with at least one season
of experience at current draft league level.
- 11, 9, 7, or 5 year old players, whose parent manages
a team, will be drafted in the fourth round of the draft.
- The brother rule will apply (brothers are to be
drafted on the same team in consecutive rounds).
- The draft will be conducted in a “snake”
configuration.
- At the end of the last round in which each team had
a draft choice (last complete round), the draft order will be adjusted. The
team with the first overall draft pick will have the final pick in the
draft. Example: If there are five players left in the draft, the team with
the 5th overall pick will have the first pick in the last round
to complete player selection.
- All trades should be completed prior to departure
from the draft room and must be approved by the player agent. Any trades
after departure from the draft room must be presented to the player agent
and approved by the board.
- Major league teams may not have more than 8 12-year
olds on the roster.
